Current CVEC faculty are actively engaged in graduate and undergraduate teaching and mentoring and belong to one or more graduate groups. CVEC is the home for the Designated Emphasis in the Biology of Vector-borne Diseases.

The depth and breadth of CVEC faculty and students in service and research is substantial and creates a strong base of support to develop CVEC into a center of excellence that spans multiple schools and colleges at UC Davis.

Service

Each affiliate of CVEC engages in public and/or animal-health related service including surveillance for vector and vector-borne disease, service on government or NGO boards, and assisting with response to vector-borne disease threats.
